Endoscopy

Vakhtang Bochorishvili Clinic offers endoscopic examinations in compliance with world standards. Our priority is patient safety, maximum comfort, and early detection of diseases.

Why should you choose Bochorishvili Clinic's endoscopic service?

Our clinic is equipped with the OLYMPUS EVIS EXERA III system - the latest generation of endoscopic imaging, which allows the doctor to see what was previously invisible.

  • NBI (Narrow Band Imaging) technology: detailed analysis of the vascular pattern of the mucosa for early prevention of tumor processes.

  • HD Imaging: High-resolution imaging ensures 100% diagnostic accuracy.

  • Experienced Team: Our endoscopists have many years of experience in both routine and complex interventional procedures.

Preparation for endoscopic examination

The accuracy of the study depends significantly on the patient's prior preparation. Please carefully read the recommendations:

1. Gastroscopy (upper endoscopy)

The procedure is performed on an empty stomach.

  • You should not eat for at least 8-10 hours before the study.

  • Water intake should be stopped 4 hours before the procedure.

2. Colonoscopy (lower endoscopy)

For a complete examination of the intestine, it is necessary to completely empty it.

  • Diet: 2-3 days before the procedure, eliminate foods rich in fiber (fruits, vegetables, grains) from your diet.

  • Special medications: You should take bowel cleansing medications (e.g. Fortrans or its analogues) as prescribed by your doctor, following the instructions exactly.

  • Fasting: Only clear liquids are allowed on the day before the test.

Rehabilitation and post-procedure period

At Bochorishvili Clinic, endoscopy is performed under medically induced sleep (anesthesia) , which makes the procedure completely painless.

  • Awakening: Immediately after the procedure, the patient is transferred to the rehabilitation ward, where he or she is monitored by medical personnel for 30-60 minutes.

  • Meals: If no biopsy or polypectomy was performed during the study, a light meal is allowed shortly after waking up.

  • Restriction: Due to anesthesia, driving or any activity that requires high concentration is not recommended on the day of the procedure.

The technology is only effective when it is managed by a professional. At Bochorishvili Clinic, you will be met by a team of qualified endoscopists who have many years of practical experience in both diagnostic and interventional (treatment) procedures.

Our team's priorities are:

  1. Safety: Strict adherence to international sterilization protocols.

  2. Comfort: Procedures are performed under a short period of medically induced sleep (anesthesia), which completely eliminates physical discomfort.

  3. Individual approach: Each patient receives a detailed explanation of the study process and results.
